The Management Committee of Amy Hurd Early Learning Centre Inc (AHELC) is seeking the following employees to deliver high quality education and care for children attending our community based, family orientated Early Childhood Education and Care Service.  

1. Early Childhood Teacher (Bachelor of education)- Full Time

Early Childhood Teacher (Bachelor of Education) - Full time (part time may be considered).

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification.

  • Current and valid NSW working with children’s check

  • Current HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.

  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk

  • NESA accredited Proficient Teacher or Provisional or Conditional accreditation.

 

Essential Criteria
  • Experience working in the Early Education and Care Sector- new graduates will be considered

  • Sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF, A&R.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and evidence of quality documentation

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with children, families and other professionals to develop programs that reflect current interests, strengths and needs

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, reliability and flexibility

  • As an Early Childhood Teacher you will inspire and motivate, whilst affirming and also challenging or extending the practice and pedagogy of educators.

Traineeship –

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

 

Amy Hurd Early Learning Centre is a community based, not for profit Early Childhood Education and Care Centre. We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, motivated person looking to start their career in Early Childhood Education and Care.

 

You will attain a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (trained on the job) whilst working with a great team. Applicants need to be eligible for the Commonwealth or NSW traineeship funding. This must be the applicant’s first training contract.

 

This position is full time, 38 hours per week.

 

Essential Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The desire to work in the early childhood sector long-term

  • An understanding of commitment to study

  • Alert, observant, active and able to use judgement and initiative

  • Able to relate well to children and their parents

  • Able to work in a team

  • Willingness to accept responsibility.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • NSW Working with Children Check.

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check to be completed
